Art Deco Writing Table By Paul Follot
A fine Art Deco writing table handmade in Lancaster England circa 1930.
Made from solid Walnut decoratively veneered with cross banded walnut marquetry panels, Fitted with two draws and standing on reeded tapered legs.It is veneered on all four sides enabling it to free stand anywhere in a room. It also retains the original bakelite handles.
Made by Waring and Gillow master cabinet makers who’s commissions included decorative work in the interiors of The Queen Mary and Claridge’s Hotel.
Stamped Waring and Gillow and Label to inside of draw.
The design attributed to the renowned Art Deco furniture designer Paul Follot.
Paul Follot worked as a director of the Modern Art Department at Waring and Gillow in the in the late 1920s to the early 1930s.
In Excellent condition .
